There is no time limit unless CT Licensing Laws change
Can a person get a real estate license if they have been convicted of a felony?
They can if:
They must meet the criteria for the license, including passing the P&P course.
They must fill out the Real Estate Salesperson Application, which includes an applicant information section with questions related to felonies,
They must fill out the Review of Felony Conviction form, which will be sent to the applicant by the DCP after it receives the salesperson application.
They must submit all background information requested, either by mail or in person at a Real Estate Commission meeting in Hartford.
How many times can I take the CT Licensing Exam?
you can take it unlimited amount of time in one year.
What happens if I need to miss class due to illness or personal issues?
Attendance is Mandatory but missed classes can be made up in future sessions because classes run continuously. Or if you miss a Day Class, you can come to a night session etc.
What are the fees associated with becoming and maintaining a CT Real Estate Salespersons License (Estimated and can vary)?
PSI application fee... $80
Test Fee... $59
Test Retake fee... $51
CT Licensing Fee (When you pass the CT Licensing test...) $285 plus $20 to real estate guarantee fund. The $285 is paid each year and due on May 31st of that given year.
Startup Fees can vary depending upon the brokerage you join. Some brokerages will have you pay for signs, marketing, training and Errors and Omissions Insurance. Each broker will offer you a different package. That's why its important to interview many brokers to determine your Costs...
